Head start your aviation career with the VET in Schools – Aviation programme!
Designed for students in Senior High School, this two year program is intended to open up opportunities in the exciting field of aviation. Starting in either Year 10 or Year 11, students attend theory classes on Wednesdays and continue their practical flying on the weekends and term holidays.
VET in Schools – Aviation is available to students in Brisbane, Darwin, Melbourne & Perth. Other locations may be available on request. Get in touch with us directly or reach out through your school Careers Coordinator.

The VET in Schools – Aviation course includes:
- Recreational Pilot Licence (RPL) and Private Pilot Licence (PPL) to the first solo navigation flight.
- Study Units 3 & 4.
- Statement of Attainment
- Option to continue after Year 12 to complete AVI50222 Diploma of Aviation (Commercials Pilot Licence – Aeroplane).
- This course delivers both classroom-based aeronautical knowledge and practical flight training.
- An ideal head start on a career in aviation.
- Block credits apply towards ATAR.
- 10% Increment available to add to ATAR. (VCAA students only)
- Pathway into a Higher Education course.
