Spinning and Aerobatics Flight Activity Endorsements

Aerobatics are a great way to enhance the skill set, whilst having a lot of fun!  When trained properly, they are also fairly simple to fly and all pilots are capable of flying them to a desired level.  Flight Standards takes a very modulated approach to aerobatics training, commencing with elementary manoeuvres such as the loop and aileron roll and developing into the more advanced manoeuvres such as the barrel roll, slow roll and stall turn.  Manouvres can be combined, for example a half loop followed by a roll off the top can be a way of repositioning the aircraft for a subsequent manoeuvre in a sequence – the possibilities are endless and the learning takes place at the individual’s pace.

Spinning training is a pre-requisite for pilots undertaking aerobatics training, as is training in aircraft upset recovery.
